A bold, playful and somewhat tongue-in-cheek birthday design featuring the phrase "Happy Birthday Slaaag!" in large, uncompromising lettering against a fresh green background. It's reminiscent of the way Danny Dyer speaks, and is very much meant to be uttered in a mockney Dyer-esque tone! The hand-drawn typography has a cheerful, modern feel, with strong black outlines and a lively, contemporary style that gives the artwork plenty of personality.
The composition is energetic and eye-catching, making it ideal for someone who enjoys fun, expressive, and slightly sarky birthday greetings. Its simple colour palette and creative lettering keep the focus firmly on the message, creating a light-hearted celebration with a school-boy slur!
Price includes free postage to the US, UK, Canada, Australia and most of Europe.
I've been drawing weirdness with pencils and crayons since the days of Tony Hart - only really old people will get this reference. After graduating from Loughborough University in 2000 (see the 'old' part) with a first-class degree in illustration, I did what every creative does and went straight into minimum-wage retail work. I worked in lots of greeting card shops, and the designs on the cards inspired me to create a humorous and contemporary collection of designs, specifically for people who are tired of seeing capybara, sloths and unicorns, and also for those who are physically sick at the thought of puns.
I live in Nottingham with my partner, Ben, and our three cats, Edna, Ozzy, and Olive. I love eating and not leaving the house. Through grit, talent, and dogged determination, I went from minimum-wage to half the minimum wage in 15 years. I'm hoping my inspirational story might help steer someone from illustration to, I dunno, maybe plumbing?
