A humorous hand-drawn Christmas illustration showing two simple expressive faces in a playful, minimalist style. The top character looks stern and unimpressed, while the lower character wears a Santa hat and also looks stern and unimpressed. The handwritten text adds the humorous context: You (top image), You at Xmas (bottom image). A relatable, festive joke for total grumpy bah-humbugs!
With its clean white background, bold black outlines and a striking touch of red, the artwork has a contemporary, sketch-like charm. It works well as a seasonal greeting with a funny, slightly exasperated tone, which is how Christmas leaves many of us!
Price includes free postage to the US, UK, Canada, Australia and most of Europe.
I've been drawing weirdness with pencils and crayons since the days of Tony Hart - only really old people will get this reference. After graduating from Loughborough University in 2000 (see the 'old' part) with a first-class degree in illustration, I did what every creative does and went straight into minimum-wage retail work. I worked in lots of greeting card shops, and the designs on the cards inspired me to create a humorous and contemporary collection of designs, specifically for people who are tired of seeing capybara, sloths and unicorns, and also for those who are physically sick at the thought of puns.
I live in Nottingham with my partner, Ben, and our three cats, Edna, Ozzy, and Olive. I love eating and not leaving the house. Through grit, talent, and dogged determination, I went from minimum-wage to half the minimum wage in 15 years. I'm hoping my inspirational story might help steer someone from illustration to, I dunno, maybe plumbing?
